this fight could end up pretty interesting, jennings isnt a bad fighter, and he already is saying hes scared, and a scared or hurt animal is always the most dangerous, plus with cotto coming off a horible ko loss to margs, itll be something to see if jennings can take a few big shots from cotto and come right back, if he can do that will cotto start getting margs flashbacks??? most likely not, but like i said, its definatly worth seeing

          OH God he is wrong!!!!!!!!

I honestly haven't seen Jennings fighting but he is totally wrong. If he goes into this fight thinking Miguel Cotto is a fighter who only goes forward he is going to make this a very easy fight for Cotto. Let's remember Cotto outboxed Mosley, show off his boxing skills while destroying Gomez, and outboxed Margarito during the first part of his fight. And I am not even mentioning Judah. Jennings might be a good boxer but no way he is as strong as Margarito. The only way he can win this one is if Margarito caused mental damaged to Miguel or may be if Miguel doesn't take him seriously. Other than that Cotto by KO in 8rds.

There is no chance for Jennings against the puertorican destroyer, boxer, champion & best libra por libra fighter Miguel Angel Cotto

Not more than 7 rounds and he will be crushed and demolished by Cotto.

Cotto is not going to be the same after the horrific brutal vicious beatdown he suffered at the hands of Antonio. This will be like when Vargas faced Rivera (who was supposed to be feather fisted) after Trinidud. Except this time once Jennings drops Cotto he will finish the job. Jennings by 9th round TKO.

Doubtful... Cotto looks hungry and determined to kick ass... I know Cotto is thinking to himself, "No more drinking in LA 3 nights before the fight.."

When you lose to someone like Margarito, and you know you are WAY better, you don't get traumatized... you get pissed."

If anyone is Traumatized it's Margarito. You mention Williams and he shuts down all logical dialogue. That's trauma *****...

Another Cotto fan in denial. Pitiful. I guess Mayorga can blame the drinking as to why he lost to De La Hoya too. Excuses, excuses, excuses. You will see, Cotto will NEVER be the same mentally, physiologically or physically.

look Im a Cotto fan but there is no way to discount the possible effect the Margarito fight had on him and that is not to say that Margarito wont also be affected because he actually took more shots from Cotto than he dished out. Now from what I have seen of Jennings on youtube this guy has almost, almost no chance of winning this fight. He is simply not on Cotto's level. The only way he pulls out a win is if he fights a brilliant fight, Cotto comes in unprepared and a shell of his former self.

All this talk is built around one thing: what will happen when Margarito and Cotto meet again? It has almost nothing to do with Jennings and what I want to see from Cotto probably can't be seen against this opponent.

To beat Margarito, if Margarito gets by Sugar Shane, Cotto will have to correct some things:

If you want to box Margarito OK but you better mix that up within each round by backing him up with some pressure of your own, do not let him get into his groove. Do that by not becoming predicatable, mixing it up to the body and I mean enough to take away his late round strength and dont get into a position where your back hits the ropes cause Margarito is gonna hammer you there even if you are countering the **** out of him. He will take two or three to give one and that pattern will repeat over and over until you break him or he breaks you.

Cotto also desperately needs to learn how to avoid uppercuts and when to clinch.

Cotto will also have to come in harder, more durable and with an increased level of fitness. The dude was in shape last time but now he knows he will need a little more against this guy.

Most of all Cotto needs to respect what Tony is capable of and build a plan around that. In their first fight Cotto came out fast and looked like he wanted to show everyone how he would dominate Margarito. He did dominate him but you could see that in doing so he was burning up a ****load of energy and the big question was could Cotto do that for every minute of every round. As Margarito started to land Cotto started to show that he couldnt fight that fight and honestly who could. Cotto better retool his plan, fight smart, win rounds work the body and do what he does best

If Jennings gives Cotto any trouble at all he should pull out of the Margarito fight and work out his problems over '09, forget Margarito until the right time time right place comes back around.

If Cotto is as mentally strong as I believe he is, he will come back stronger. But the real way to see is in his second fight with Margarito. Anyways Cotto will most likely beat the **** out of Jennings, it's not like Cotto is some hyped up and coming fighter, he's put his work in.
