Theres a lot of comp. at 122 but........

the only one that has a chance against Juan Manuel Lopez is Celestino Caballero. Other then that, Juanma rules the division.

He doesn't rule ****. Vazquez has clearly done the best work in that division by a mile.

Oh, dont get me wrong, Vazquez is the man. Veterans like him and Marquez need not to apply to my previous statement. I kind of look at them like its cashing out time.

Caballero will pose a threat off his height alone.

Winning over overmatcheded patsies after winning a shock KO over a former champion who was known more for his power than boxing skills only proves that Juanma Lopez has devastating KO power, nothing more. His skills, heart and chin aren't tested yet, and will only be tested once he face the division's best. Molitor, Gonzales and Marquez will definitely test his skills and speed as those are probably the most technically sound fighters in the division. Can he KO fighters he can't catch? Will he get frustrated and lose, or adjust to their game and win? I want to find this out too.

Caballero, Concepcion and Vazquez would on the other hand test his chin as well as his heart and bring him to even deeper water, can he take as much as he can dish? Can he fight with cuts, or a badly swollen eye? Can he adapt mid-fight to turn the tide in his favor? Fights with these guys definitely would answer that question.

He proves himself with anyone of these six guys and pass with flying colors and we'd probably be looking at a future P4P lister, but unless he does, he's doing nothing more than what Valero is doing...knocking out overmatched foes.

Lopez is a good fighter and all but he has not fought the opposition to be called the best at 122 yet, he has the ability, he has to prove to us that he can make the most of it though.

Amen. I just would like to make it clear though that boxing needs the likes of Juanma Lopez. I just hope he gets to showcase his power and skills against more worthy competition and have legitimate claim to the title "division's best" if not one of the best P4P.

I agree. But Lopez is doing what he is suppose to be doing against overmatched foes, knocking them out.

There's a big difference fighting someone that drops immediately when hit and someone that hits back harder when hit.
