Well, I know it's easy to look at things after an event like this and see things in a certain way, and want to apportion blame. But it often ends up to broad in the days after such an event, and sometimes weeks or permanently. I think it's important to defend and challenge that and ensure the correct area's taking the flack.
Where was the Green Beyer fight...once again - Germany.
I can completely live with Germany taking some real flack I really can, but in terms of beginning to include numerous other countries just because their in the same region, I don't think that's fair or accurate. As much as we need to criticise bad decisions in boxing where ever they are, we also need to be careful not to blame and punish countries whom have not proven to be way worse than world average. That would be bad for boxing too.
We already now how it can be tricky getting American fighters over to Europe, and a few recent bad decisions in recent times in Germany, one country in Europe, should not excuse boxing in several other countries suffering. All of boxing suffers then.
