Evander's attitude after the fight was admirable. The outcome was hot garbage.

Kudos to boxingscene for telling it like it is. Holyfield was robbed plain and simple. Other lesser websites tried to play down the ''controversy'' but you can't b.s. the people. Anyone who watched knows Holyfield won at least 10 rounds. And to people who say Holyfield stank out the joint or look bad , he didn't do anything different than what Mayweather does against his opponents. Except that Mayweather isn't giving again 100 lbs when he stinks it out. What other heavyweight can even stay on his toes for 12 rds? Congratulations to Evander Holyfield, new WBA champ. They should take this to court, this was a disgrace. Ban Sauerland from boxing.

When are people going to realize that it's not just the judges. Saurerland promotions obviously had this in the bag right from the start. Look how Valuev automatically put his hands up after the fight. He was absolutaly curtain that he won the fight. They probably told him before the fight as long as he can't knock you down or out you got the fight either way. How do you win a fight without landing punches. There is some real crooked **** going down and it needs to be turned over. I seriously think I might be done with the sport unless something is done about this.

How does that line go in "Casablanca"? - I'm shocked! Shocked I tell you, shocked!

Like half the decisions in the USA aren't as crooked as the day is long.

I dont think the decision will get overturned, the most we can wish for is for the fight to be changed to a No Decision and an immediate rematch ordered.

The american commentary was pretty biased, but Evander still had the fight in the bag clearly.. 116-112 Holyfeild

Yes he is. One of the best here.

But the robbery-cries should IMO be saved for other fights. The fight was as close as it was dull. I had it 115-113 Holyfield but I can live with the decision as a lot of the rounds were close.

American Yahoo had it for Valuev: "Yahoo! Sports scored it 116-112 for Valuev, primarily on account of Holyfield’s remorseless reluctance to throw leather in the second half of the contest."

Actually, Yahoo's Rodgers had it for Valuev while their live glog scoring had it wide for Holyfield.

To me that's just further proof that this is no robbery. For sure there have been worse decisions like Spinks-Holmes II or Whitaker-Chavez. Save the robbery cries for those kind of fights and just say that the decision at hand was controversial.
