And You Guys Say Boxing Isn't Dying?

Holyfield VS Valuev is a potential nail in the coffin. Sure it was a sideshow match. But this will still turn many more people away from the sport. Call them "fake fans" if you want. But how much of this bull**** can someone really put up with? People who have been inactive come back and get title shots out the blue. People being able to duck worthy opponents to fight lesser opponents and then fixed matches like this.

I said from the beginning, this fight should never have happened.

Holyfield could have made some money fighting Mercer or Bowe.

Boxing fans have very selective hearing and memory. I was one of them until recently. Everything about how boxing is run is flawed to the T.

                Boxing is living.

Get your hand out of the sour pickle jar.

There's plenty of good fights around the bend, and we'll be yapping about them for years.

These sucky ones just add some color and a diversion.

Not every fight can be VASQUEZ-MARQUEZ or gatti-ward, but enough are.

People will always want to see people beating the **** out of each other in the squared circle.

it was yes, and this just goes to show the old path it was takeung, a 46 year old beating a champ and then judges not giveing it. Fortunatly in 09 we have David Haye as both a boxer and self promoter

People will always want to see action packed bloody violent messes like the UFC provides. Like I said its like comparing rugby to football. With UFC its quick and to the point. Less rounds, more action. Boxing will be phased out quicker with the increasing popularity of the UFC. Mark my words.
