overall heres how id rank them:

RJJ - his foray up till heavy weight means that he has to be first, throw in the fact that he beat b-hop at MW, toney (the p4p 1 at the time) at SMW and mcallum at LHW then you have to have him at the top.

CALZAGHE - yes he has spent a long time beating up fighters who to be frank didn't have no buisness getting in the ring with him (ashira!? wtf was happening then?), but throw in wins over prime robin reid, lacy, kessler, brewer, mitchell, omar sheika, hopkins and his resume doesn't look as bad as some ppl want to believe. yes he did fight some C/B level fighters but so what so did hopkins and so did RJJ. imo JC has it in him to beat RJJ, even before the move to HW.

TONEY - he comes up here on talent alone, when he says he was bron to fight he means it, hes still a handful for most heavyweights and has a bigger box of tricks than any boxer around at the minute. imo the one fighter who would have beaten joe, he was just too smart and too talented, its a shame he doesn't love boxing or have a great work ethic if he did hed be an easy ATG.

HOPKINS - now dont get me wrong i like hopkins, hes forgotten more about boxing than i'll rremeber but the fact is hes had more losses (without issues of weight, moving up etc) than the other fighters. yes he has beat tarver, pavlik, tito, winky and DLH but come on the last 3 are all fighters smaller than him!! every time hes faced a A level fighter who is on his level he has lost (RJJ, JC, taylor x2).

i know not everyone here will agree with my ranking of the fighter but iv taken into account everything - their styles, their resumes (the opponents they fought and beat at the time) their respective talents everything and thats what i came up with. feel free to disagree.

all three good boxers, dont get me wrong but calzaghe is the best of his era.

This guy is wrong, Roy Jones has a much better legacy that Calzaghe. However I think you could make a case for Joe being above or atleast on par with Hopkins. I think he's got a bit of a point though, his race does have alot to do with the hatred Calzaghe gets. If he was Black and American, there would be no question about his greatness.

They hate him supposedly because he didn't challenge himself earlier in his career by moving up the divisions or by making a fight Hopkins. But Joe did sign to fight Hopkins in 02 only for Hopkins to ***** his out of it demanding double the money he initially agreed to. He moved up after 15 years to fight Hopkins who was P4P, after a decade as champ and after having dealt with the last of his challengers at 168 in Kessler and Lacy. If he'd gone up before that then he would've been ducking Kessler, and Lacy lol, you know it.

Hopkins himself stayed in his own division for 18 years and only moved up to fight the overrated Tarver at 41, and only after losing twice to Taylor at 160 and had nothing else to gain there. And what were Hopkins best wins, former welterweights Trinidad and De La Hoya at 160, Middleweight Champ Pavlik and a fat blown-up former Light Middleweight Winky at 170. You get the picture, the best guys he beat he always had an advantage over. You call that challenges? The only real challenges he took were against guys who were similar size who could match him in skill and quicker than him in Jones, Taylor and Calzaghe and he lost to them all. Why doesn't he get trashed for not going up and fighting Calzaghe sooner or for not rematching Roy? It's because he's Black and American. It's just accepted he's an ATG, doesn't matter that he lost to the best fighters he fought and the best fighters he beat were not at their prime weight.
