then he goes and beats Wlad and maybe goes after the winner of valuev and holyfield to hold all 4 alphabet titles....then what....i mean he'll be in the same position as wlad is in now and have no stand out opposition to fight?
Okay so David Haye hypothetically beats Vitali (and i stress hypothetically).........

No he wouldn't be in the same position because he would be the lineal hw champ whereas wlad is only ranked #1 hw.Comment

ya after that retirement . . . theres no other real stand out heavies. what else could he really do?Comment

There's still guys out there whom could KO him easily enough.
I mean the chances would be even lower than Vitali or Wlad due to skill etc, but I stand by the fact guys like Khan and Haye run a big risk of being KO'd in every fight.
Haye might be better than say Arreola but if he faced him twice he'd possibly still get KO'd first time and have to avenge it. It could go on and on. Don't blame him in some ways for wanting to retire within a few years. If he beats Vitali and Wlad then he's proved he's the best out there and more is just messing around.Comment

You'd put Haye's chin on the same level of Khan? Khan got knocked out cold by an unknown Columbian, having previously been hurt by moderate punching featherweights. Haye's KO loss was more to do with him gassing after four rounds against a very tough customer than a glass jaw.Comment

I didn't say same level. You'd put Haye's chin on the same level of Khan? Khan got knocked out cold by an unknown Columbian, having previously been hurt by moderate punching featherweights. To elaborate, they both have weak chins. Khan more so maybe, but Haye also is a CW, a small HW with a moderately weak chin, full of massive guys whom at least can hit fairly hard, hard enough to KO him. Even he acknowledges this.
Ok you can dodge a lot with speed. But if Khan and Haye were to carry on for more than 3 years, between them there'd have over 2 losses. You can't deny that's quite likely.Comment

if david was to beat vitali and beat holyfield/valuev then imo the only fighter left for him would be vlad.
theres a few young heavyweights as well - fighters like arreola and povetkin but david isn't a guy who loves the sport. hes said beforehand that he wants to try his hand at MMA and he wants to get out of boxing quickly.Comment

i can just see it now, unified champion in boxing, goes to ufc knocks the **** out of lesnar or fedor (by that time fedor will be a ufc fighter, every other mma production bust or gobbled up by dana white's mob)lol, a lot of boxing fans would love to see that. Has trained with michael bisping i know that for sure.if david was to beat vitali and beat holyfield/valuev then imo the only fighter left for him would be vlad.
