It's possible the style is but even with the style, could Pac have pulled it off against a Prime Oscar at 147...since we are talking about a fight at 147. I don't think so and I don't think Freddie does either. Freddie's worries about Pac losing were calmed by two facts: "Oscar can't pull the trigger anymore" and the Weight class of 147 wouldn't work for Oscar after being away for about 7 years.
According to Nacho and the GBP camp, he was in tremendous shape. He was in the best physical condition of his life. Beristain said he thought Oscar could have beaten him. Weight was never a problem in his camp according to Shaefer and his brother Joel. DLH is just tailor made for Pacquiao though.
Well it ain't the 1st choice, Marquez gave him major problems so guys who are brilliant counter-punchers and can take Pac's punishment have a shot, there aren't too many of those about though.
Oscar was clearly on the way out, he looked like **** against Forbes, Pac just made it official.

This is the same Oscar that had a black-eye and had rumors flying around that he was getting beat up in sparring?
Listen, they are trying to sell a fight.
You know Ali was saying he was in great shape prior to his fight with Holmes; now think.
How about Roy's trainer who was saying this is the best Roy in a long time. That was before Joe. How did Roy look...was he the same Roy that captured the boxing world with his incredible speed, agility, elusiveness, confidence and power?
Even if we take the weight argument; maybe Oscar was showing good signs the weight wasn't a problem, but, how long was that going to last before the body had reached max stress levels of the dieting and training at 147?
Oh, and what did Freddie say before and after again?
If the fight was at 154 maybe DLH would have done a bit better but not much.
I predicted Pac would win because of little details like the forbes fight etc. Plus you have to take into account DLH win loss record of late.
Pac was in form. You could say DLH was in form because he took Pbf the distance, but PBF is overated anyway.

Roy Jones is always in great shape, doesnt mean that his "style" is Tailor made for Joe Calzaghe or Glen Johnson, lol ****in morons. When you're done your done. Oscar just speed the process up by tryin to come in soo light then stayin light.
Oscar handled sweet pea and Ike Quartey alot better then he did Paq. All 3of which would ice Manny. I mean the contrast between Oscar prime at 147 to Oscar's recent trip to 147 is as clear as day. You either gotta be legally blind, or your a dumb ass new fan to the sport, if you can't see somthin that obvious lol
But seriously, you delusional flip fans got enough bull**** quotes to fill a book.
NO NOOO
both fought the complete opposite of what most knowledgable people thought each types of fights
most thought pacquaio the guy that comes forward
oscar is a boxer counter puncher
but in this fight
both switched rolls
oscar came in head huntin and was out witted and out boxed by pacquaio
The result of the fight has more to do with pac than de lahoya being "shot". If you look at de la hoya's last fights, he does not look any worse than he did againts pac. coming down in weight did not help him either
