I never said that there was not a difference in weight, but in overall size they are about the same. It was a bigger difference in the DLH fight, and he fought him with no problem!!!

Cotto was weight drained at 140 while Mayweather was comfortable at 130. Not making any excuses...Just informing you that Cotto is clearly bigger which means nothing anyway

Appearently a fight with Marquez and Pac are a disgrace to him but a fight at 154 (the worst division) for the WBO interim title (aka not the actual title) against a young lion like Verno Philips, whose claim to fame is winning a decision over knock out artist Cory Stinks, is a major achievement

Why all the hate for Floyd? Show him some respect, at the end of the day its his body and not any other person's on this boards' at stake. If he chooses a B fighter, or one we know he can win against in his first bout back, I say it should be on regular HBO and not PPV or else WE should boycott it. His second fight should be with Pac Man, PWill, Margo, Cotto, or Clottey and any of those would be PPV worthy.

My God, I think people forget that we are the ones that pay money for this stuff, we can boycott it. This line of argument is also found with those dissenters who demonize Wal-Mart for its producing and 3rd world input buying techniques, and then go there to shop.

Those are the two biggest Names that would boost his legacy futher and establish himself in a position that even doubters would have a hard time debating he isn't an "ATG" like he claims.

My list for Legacy based on your use would be:

Williams
Margarito
Cotto
Pac
JMM

The sad thing is, if he fought Pac and beat him, especially by KO, watch the hype machine come out. True, I would give him big credit towards his legacy, but, a legacy under the 147 pound division. His continuing on that he is greater than SRR and SRL at 147 and his thinking he is the beat at 147 doesn't work unless he fights the likes of Williams (although he is at 154 so that would be a 154 legacy point)...Margarito...and Cotto.


To me, the order I just posted is the legacy points.



Pac vs. Floyd might be a fairer fight based on weigh-in weight...but you get big points for fighting someone bigger and stronger. Especially since Margarito and Williams, to name two, beat Pac.
