I'm just combatting peoples opinions with my own. If somebody says Cotto def beats Hatton @ either weight, I'll say he will def beat Cotto @ 140. @ 147, it's a close fight..............in my opinion only, of course. This will officially be opinion unless the two fight and I don't think it will happen seeing as how Hatton wont move up for that kinda payday and Cotto's body will not allow him to move down anymore.

Cotto was physically broken in that fight and mentally exhausted and beaten. But he did not get his heart taken away, he may have taken the knee to prevent some punishment but even when things went down hill halfway through the fight he fought on for as long as he could. I'm a big Ricky Hatton fan but I don't like that he's **** talking Cotto, especially since everyone knows that he would get his ass handed to him the second he steps in with the big boys at 147.

I take nothing away from Ricky but if he's going to critisize another man's heart and will he should be able to look in the mirror and demonstrate that if he were in Cotto's shoes he wouldn't do the same, and the bottom line is that he can't. He would never step in the ring with Tony, and we all know why.

The comments were made BEFORE the Margarito fight. Had he said that afterwards, it would be disrespectful. Saying it before hand, just shows he is adept to boxing in general. When it comes down to it, every fighter eventually gets broken down mentally. It just depends on how long it takes them to get there. Hatton apparently knew it would not be too much longer for Cotto and in no way said that HE could break Cotto's will even though I think he could on the right night at the right weight.

It probably stems from the Mosely fight when Cotto, "ran away in the later rounds". People thought Mosely was starting to get to Cotto for whatever reason.

And in Hatton's defense, Cotto blatantly said Hatton was overrated after he got KO'ed by Mayweather, so it's mutual.
