Recent reports suggest that Paul Williams' camp asked for a 50-50 split with Winky for a big fight at 154 early next year. HBO tried to pressure Winky into taking it but Wright is once again overpricing himself demanding at least 60%. This guy hasn't fought since Hopkins and most people have forgot he exists. Apparently he is more interested in taking on Taylor for less money, which has HBO upset. What is with this guy and his ridiculous negotiating?? Does he think he's some marquee player??

60-40 For Winky is about right. PW is not a draw by any means. A lot of people will watch the fight because is against Winky. So Winky is entitled to a bigger cut this time. 60-40 is not bad at all!!!!!!!!

Umm Winky is the complete OPPOSITE of draw. Nobody wants to see him fight because he is boring as ****. Williams giving him 50-50 is a deal for Winky, but if he's too ****** to realize it, screw him. He's not exciting and he hasn't been on in over a year and a half. P-Will should get at least 50%

Is a bigger draw than Williams thats for sure. The layoff mean ****. Tito had a 2 and a half year layoff and RJJ was active plus almost equaly draw. And Tito still got the bigger cut, because he was the bigger draw!!!!!

as far as Trinidad after the layoff, he was a God to PR fans, and an icon to many hispanic fans in general. He had a built in fan base. What is Wright's built in fan base? Fans of half-ass rap movies?

********** has been informed that negotiations in the Paul Williams-Winky Wright fight have hit a serious snag following the WBO interim junior middleweight demanding a 50-50 purse split to fight Wright on HBO this March. As ********** reported, Wright was originally penciled in to fight on March 14, a date now being held for the Chad Dawson-Antonio Tarver rematch. It now looks like Wright will make his return to the ring on March 28, nearly 21 months after his last fight with Bernard Hopkins. Remember where you heard it first!

Seriously 50-50 is a good deal considering Winky would be the bigger man, Plus he just need to fight after so many months off...Why cant he see that? I use to remember when Winky had to fought all over the world to get a payday and he even came over here to fight steve foster.
