It's an eliminator fight. What is he supposed to do? He wins this and he's right back in the title mix. And plus, Guzman is coming off of a **** up, an embarrassing one at that that ruined is rep. I'm pretty sure he couldn't land a big name at this point. He has to work his way back up the latter for his mistakes.

And why would he be afraid of Campbell? Guzman is the one that challenged Campbell, in fact, Nate said he didn't want to fight guzman but had no other choice because the WBC made Guzman his mandatory. If anything it was the other way around, but then Guzman obviously ****ed up and nate didn't have to reschedule the fight.

How about fight someone with come legitimacy...sure he was embarressed and sure he has to redeem but seriously the way he is going about it is all wrong. He goes to DR to fight, who the hell cares and who watches fights over there. His comp has 7 losses again who cares.
What he should have done is fought someone thats a legitimate threat. PLEASE dont tell me that there is no one that fits that bill WILLING to fight him. Theyre are many hungry fighters that would have fought him in America, he didnt have to fight a name(most like no names want anything to do with him anyway, poor draw and poor background). Your makin a big deal out of nothing. The dude has to work his way up again...how is that hard to understand. The man isn't even ranked anymore...and I know his people gave him alot of **** after not being able to make weight...allow him to gain some more fans in D.R or spread boxing over there because as you should see...Not alot of dominican boxers

What Critics believe he is going to have a hard time with a no name fighter with 7 losses in his home time?
And if there is such a dumb ass critic, what does it matter if he wins by 1st round knockout? Whats proven?...lol I mean cmon.
I will agree that maybe its being done to bring more boxing to DR. But still he should have brought a little more excitement to his homeland by making it a legit fight because damn DR isnt dumb.

This dude has convinced me that he was afraid to face Nate Cambell. he takes a fight with a no name federalatino title, instead of facing Cambell! Campbell was even willing to face him above the 135 pound weight limit. Guzman is a coward and a fraud!! I have no respect for him until he faces Campbell!!

What is going on with that platano Felix Diaz who won the gold medal in Beijing at jr. welter? I think he was the first from DR to do so in boxing no? Hopefully he will turn pro but I havent heard anything.

The fight is in Dominica Republic, the scale is in DR, it is run by the DR atheltic council(whatever you call it there). The scale is rig.

to be honest i dnt think its about that at all. i think it has to do with him making weight/ the 135 pound limit. but wtf why is he even a pound over. he had since september to lose 3 pounds.
