2008 was a real bad year in boxing. 2009 looks like it will be amazing though.

Maybe its just me dude but I don't share your enthusiasm at all. That video seemed pretty weak to me. A casual fan would not have a clue what was going on in that or who won each fight.

              You serious?

Manny Pacquiao vs Juan Manuel Marquez 2
Manny Pacquiao vs Oscar De La Hoya
              Joe Calzaghe vs Bernard Hopkins
Joe Calzaghe vs Roy Jones Jr
Israel Vasquez vs Rafael Marquez 3
Antonio Magarito vs Kermit Cintron 2
              Antonio Margarito vs Miguel Cotto
Kelly Pavlik vs Jermain Taylor 2
              Bernard Hopkins vs Kelly Pavlik
              Arthur Abraham vs Edison Miranda
              Chad Dawson vs Glen Johnson
              Chad Dawson vs Antonio Tarver
              Vitali Klitschko vs Sam Peter

In a nutshell we had Manny Pacquiao proving his is the real P4p #1, Joe Calzaghe moving up and beating two legends, a great fight in a trilogy (Izzy-Marquez), a massive Welterweight fight Cotto-Margarito, Chad Dawson breaking onto the scene and finally fighting Tarver, Vitali returning, Haye making Heavyweight debut (well, permanent) and a great performance from Hopkins against Pavlik.

A good year in my opinion.

I'm mixed. It started out great with match ups, but then the all the PPVs with the weak undercards. The main events weren't that bad, but it was disappointing.

this was a TERRIBLE year for HBO boxing... but it was a pretty solid year for boxing as a whole IMO
