    JMM Pacman lightweight debut...

JMM actually fought a legit Lightweight opponent, Marquez vs Casamayor was actualy a fight...

Pacman vs Diaz was meant for Manny to look good in his debut as a lightweight...Diaz isn't exacly the toughest lightweight out there.

I love Pacman...his style is exciting and he makes you feel like you got your money's worth when he fights, but I want to see him face legit opponents, I think Hatton can be his first test.

He fought the best at his division and he fought Casamayor who was the champ at that time, he has fought more than legit fighters, but I understand if you mean legit opponents at 140 like:

    Hatton
    Bradley
    Holt
    Torres

    Then I understand...

hatton is a jr. ww. so if u mean that pac should fight some real comp at lw, then ur talkin bout campbell, the winner of jmm vs diaz. as far as jr ww's go, hatton and bradley are the best

I don't think anyone will argue that David Diaz is as good as Joel Casamayor, but at the time Manny fought him he was a champion and inside the top 10, and he dominated him.

You are right that the fight was more to showcase Pacquiao, than to make the best possibe matchup.

Manny is coming back down to face Hatton, and we will see where he goes from there.

i really wish Pac had stayed at lightweight a little longer... just 1 or 2 more fights there

Marquez is taking and has taken the more credible fights than Pac imo

Has Pacquiao made any statements about the division that he is going to settle into after he beats Hatton? I just cant see him settling in at 140 with the lack of big fights.

i think retirement is more likely, if the Floyd fight doesn't come off

Marquez and the rest like Valero, Juan Diaz and Joan Guzman will follow Pacman wherever he goes, specially Joan Guzman, for obvious reasons...

Pacquiao had the better overall performance, but Marquez's win is way better and he shocked more people by knocking out Casamayor then Pacquiao KOing Diaz. Marquez-Casamayor was pretty close the first few rounds and Casamayor was very game.
