Do you think it will help him? I mean Pavlik does put on the pressure and fights in similar style of Margarito, and is tall, another one who I think would be good sparring for Cotto in the Margarito rematch could be Jesus Soto Karass who is tall and fights a lot like Margarito and has sparred with Margarito a lot.

Alfredo Angulo would also be a great choice to spar with Miguel Cotto since he has also spared with Antonio Margarito and trains with him, but I was thinking Kelly Pavlik since Hopkins on an interview did say that he watched Cotto-Margarito I to see what pressure would feel like so Pavlik would also be good.Comment

I think even in sparring he maybe a bit too much for Cotto, he's bigger than Margarito but not faster than Margo so it could work...Comment

i dont think so. Miguel Cotto prepared fine for the fight. condition wise too.
his only problem is to avoid uppercuts. he suffered a busted nose which hindered his stamina. he also became too macho and stood on the ropes too long. he needs to basically avoid uppercuts and stay off the ropes and cruise to a UDComment

Cotto needs much better sparring partners and needs to execute a much more disciplined gameplan but none of the guys, with exception to Karass, would even consider themselves as sparring partner materialComment
