in my opinion cotto would be to floyd as what margarito is to cotto. i just dont see floyd ever beating cotto

Cotto is a very good fighter.

That said, his style is not the match up that will defeat Floyd Mayweather.

Floyd's style is clever and "cute" as the old-timers like to say. Cotto is a fighter, a boxer-puncher whose heart and aggression wins him contests, but not this one.

I dare say the more aggressive you are the worst off you are against Floyd. Sugar Shane Mosleys' style, Sugar Ray Leonards' style THOSE are the style match ups that beat Floyd Mayweather. Oscars' biggest success against Floyd came when he was boxing, using his jab, (not girly flailing) and keeping Floyd guessing. Zab Judah had some similiar sucess early in thier contest. BOX Floyd and that's what troubles him.

Floyd settles in about round 3 or 4 and wins a wide margin UD.

u cannot beat mayweather by out boxing him..... your only shot is to go in full steam ahead and try to bully him....... miguel cotto isnt big enough and doesnt have the chin to do so.....

thats what they said when he faced Judah can he deal with his speed can he even hit'em and you saw what happend and dont go inventing excuses like : "it was the low blows". Cotto can deal with speed . Its mayweather who has to deal with the challenge.

so why didn't marg knock cotto out? cotto took a hell of a beating but took a knee. if his chin was suspect he wouldve been ko'd earlier in the fight

is marg wouldve hit cotto flush instead of beating him up all around then he wouldve knocked him out......most of the shots landed in the first half of th fight were to the shoulders and arms.... he didnt start landing flush till round 9 or so....... every time floyd lands its gonne be on the button......tell me im lyin
