If this is in Connecticut, I'm all for it. They robbed us of the first Dawson-Tarver so it better be here. Normally, I would say this is a trap fight. Dawson beat him easily the first time, and Tarver is great in rematches. However, Dawson is different then most fighters. He won't take Tarver lightly, and he knows that this is a big fight for him, so I think he'll go for the knockout. The fact that HBO signed him to a 2 fight deal means we'll probably see him against another big name this year. Possibly B-Hop, Calzaghe, Taylor, or one of the titlists at 175.
Chad Dawson-Antonio Tarver Set For March 14, HBO

As much as I would love for Tarver to get beaten out of the sport, Glen Johnson deserves a rematch and Dawson should want a rematch with him instead of Tarver. Chad better not take this lightly b/c as Roy found out, it only takes one punch and the first fight will be forgotten.
Dawson shouldn't worry about Hopkins or Calzaghe or Tarver for that matter. He has unfinished business w/ Johnson and tell Tarver he can wait, rematch clause or not.
I guess it makes too much sense to HBO for a Johnson rematch first. If that was first, it sets up either a rubber match b/w Johnson-Tarver (snore) or a second fight b/w Dawson and Tarver. Either way, Tarver gets a shot at the belt he lost. That and if he waits, he can take the proper time off to get his weight right from dropping from his Mason Dixon days. Coming back too early from weight loss... ask Roy how that turned out.Comment

This fight is going to be a bit boring. Tarver should just wrap it up and call it a career. Dawson is younger and stronger and Tarver is no Bernard Hopkins. Dawson could and probably should stop him this time.Comment

With very few opponents biting, IBF light heavyweight champion Chad Dawson is going to fight Antonio Tarver in a rematch on March 14 on HBO. The first fight was televised by Showtime on October 11 with Dawson putting on a dominating performance to win the title from Tarver. Soon after Tarver made it known that he was going to exercise his rematch clause. Tarver has been called the master of the rematch, winning his rematch bouts with Eric Harding, Roy Jones Jr. and Glen Johnson. But this time Tarver is the old veteran coming in against the young lion who dominated him in the first meeting. [details]
What a ***** of course he has no problem fighting someone he domintated. Why does'nt he give Glen Johnson a rematch. Until he does that I'll never show interest in him.Comment
