WBA #5 Heayweight Johnson Challenges Arreola

In an attempt to further position himself as a top heavyweight prospect, WBA # 5 / WBC # 10 rated contender Kevin Johnson wants to challenge undefeated WBC Continental Americas & NABF heavyweight titlist Chris Arreola.

Arreola (26- 0, 23 KOs), rated WBC # 2, WBO/IBF # 4 and WBA # 8 last fought on November 29th on HBO against Travis Walker (28-2-1, 22 KOs) - stopping Walker in the third round of their scheduled twelve round heavyweight contest.

"We think that Kevin Johnson (21-0-1, 8 KOs) is the best heavyweight in the world. On the other hand Chris thinks he is the best and has his people telling him the same thing. Depending on who you talk to in the industry one person will say Kevin is the best, another will say Chris is. So let’s decide who actually is the best and have these two great heavyweight prospects fight each other, plain and simple," said Johnson’s promoter, CEO of Star Boxing, Joe DeGuardia. "It would be a great fight for the fans, a great fight for the heavyweight division and a great fight for the U.S. The winner clearly cements themselves as the best American heavyweight, the best heavyweight prospect in the entire world, and the rightful challenger to the heavyweight champions out there."

Would be a interesting match up, two of american fastest rising starts do battle.Would be the classic match the ''Boxer'' v the ''Brawler'' With Johnson wanting to move and box and stick his accrute left jab in Arreloa's face and Chris wanting to use his strength and size to cut off the ring and make this into a fight.

This is the kind of fight that should happen. But Arreola is on Wlad's list, and HBO probably won't risk anything less after his difficulties in the Walker fight

I agree. After Wlad fights Povetkin I think Arreola is his next fight, and knowing this Arreola isn't going to risk a loss.

This would be a good test for Arreola to see how he would fare against a Boxer with a stout jab...But I doubt HBO and Arreola's team wanna risk the chance vs a dangerous opponent that doesn't bring much to the table financially!

Kevin Johnson looks like a fighter who punches are weak, that is the last kind of opponent we need in the heavy weight division. So, I'll honestly cry tears if he beats arreola by points victory. Who wants to see a corey spinks type fighter in the heavyweight division, that is what I think Johnson sounds like with his only 8 knock out probably against weak chinned contenders.

Nah not a good fight... theres no american heavys cause Chris is taking them all out. Im sure johnson is good and he should fight one of the champions late next year as well as Arreola. If the fight ever happened tho it would be another arreols KO.

                Make it happen!

Arreola Vs Johnson... While Arreola is waiting for the Wlad fight... He should stay active, and I think Arreola will prosper if he takes this fight.. Never seen Johnson fight, but I doubt Johnson can take what Walker was giving Arreola that night.

My god.. Arreola might just be a problem for the heavyweight division.. Not saying he will beat Wlad, but I think he has a good chance. He needs to get in tremendous shape for Wlad, because Wlad WILL go to the body all day.

Johnson a fast rising star. Thats funny. Listen, Johnson could box Arreoal's ears off and win this. But him and Malik Scott are the two most boring prospects out. I've been ringside to a couple of Johnson fights and every time the crowd has booed him in a winning effort. He is horrible to watch. Its a shame too because the kid has loads of talent. Just the opposite is Arreola who is void of talent but is one fun ****er to see fight.
