Because neither HBO or Showtime will buy it. Too much of a mismatch. Arum either puts it on Top Rank PPV or it doesn't get televised.

The card is done and HBO and Showtime have said no to it. It'd be great for it to go on ESPN or Versus, but neither network carries the kind of money for its boxing to fund both Cotto and Pavlik on the same night. It is either PPV or no television. That is why pretty much all the promotion company PPVs exist. Same as Holyfield/Valuev Saturday, for example.
