chris byrd proves calzaghe can become heayweight king

calzaghe clean koed byrd in the amateurs and byrd is a small heavyweight himself.

byrd is a southpaw like joe and he beat vitali klitschko, andrew golota, david tua, evander holyfield etc

calzaghe is far slicker than byrd and faster.

Well, to be the king you must first beat the king. And Calzaghe isn't going to be beating either Klitschko anytime soon.

He gets dropped by Jones and Hopkins, but outspeeds and outlasts the Klitschkos?

Joe couldn't hurt the K's at all. I just can't see what he could do against them at all?

If Sultan Ibragimov couldn't, it's highly unlikely Calzaghe could. The Klitschkos are master at controlling the range, and Calzaghe just wouldn't be able to get in close and do anything. Plus he'd be tied up and leaned on in close.

Getting dropped two fights in a row on right hands does nothing for his chances against the Klitschkos, who are big right hand punchers.
