So, when will his prime be? In another five years? Don't be a fool man, he reached his peak years ago and is slowly improving on some things while slowing down on others. His last fight with Morales was only two years ago. Pac reached his peak around five years ago when he was fighting Barrera and Marquez for the first time. He is still in his peak and improving on things, but he was most definitely in his prime then, arguably more so than now, but that will wait until we see how he does in the future few fights.
Anyway, what's this Floyd ran like a coward against Oscar and Hatton? Did you watch those fights man? 'Cause I seem to remember Mayweather beating Hatton at Hatton's own game which is to fight on the inside. There wasn't much running at all and it also ended with Hatton on his back. Not really what you would call running is it?
Edit: ...and no, Morales vs Raheem was not a close decision at all. Even though one card had it only a two point fight it was a landslide for Raheem as suggested by the other cards like the 110-118 etc. It was not a close fight, sadly for Morales.Last edited by BennyST; 12-18-2008, 04:44 AM.Comment

Barrera I is about as good of a win as you can get honestly...
I can't think of any win by any active fighter that has less legit excuses attached to it. It's one of those fights that is just one in a million where a heavy underdog completely torched one of the best in the sport, while he is still in his prime, at his natural weight class, and has been winning convincingly against everyone.
He had just beaten like 3 guys who had ABC belts, but Barrera was either stripped or they were stripped before they fought Barrera. He went on to accomplish big things after the loss, and had accomplished a lot before the loss too. He was not having weight trouble either.Comment

I'm sure you can rattle off some flyweights, which is probably true, but... really... recently, he has been favored against about everyone.
Although, now that I think about it... completely dominating a fighter you are a heavy underdog against is pretty damn impressive, and doing it three times is unreal.Comment

Other than Ledwaba, Barrera I and De La Hoya, who has he been an underdog against?

if manny hadn't face oscar and fought hatton instead, i'd believe he would've been the underdog as wellComment

Although at this point... he will either be favored or will lose any of his remaining fights.
He should be favored against everyone he faces, but if he does face someone he is an underdog against, it will likely be a middleweight, that will just kill him.Comment

maybe he could compete againts mw but not with the best of that division unless he ko's both hatton and mayweather, HAHA. but yeah he actually sparred with rashad hollaway a light heavy for the fight against oscar. roach said he spars well wtih big guys but then thats only sparring. you never know thou, we are yet to see his limitsComment
