  • Boxers u used to hate but now like (vice versa)

Ever change your allegiance on a boxer from hating them to liking them or vice versa?

Who have you flip flopped on? and if you wanna go into it why?

    Hate to like
Joel Casamayor - I really couldnt stand this guy pre-Corrales and I especially didnt like him when he fought Corrales, but since I have grown to appreciate him more, and was actually cheering for him against Marquez.

    Like to Hate
Edison Miranda - I generally like Colombian fighters, and Miranda was no different, when he fought Eastman in his breakout bout I was cheering for him. He had a touching storyline behind him and everything. Since then though he has revealed himself to be a major loudmouth and a crybaby, while at the same time acting like he is no longer from Colombia, but opting to go around decked out in Puerto Rican gear.

anyway these are just two examples.

Any fighters you have switched stances on?

David Haye.. the guy is actually quite funny.. and not a driveling idiot when he speaks... SO I kind of like they guy.. and used to not..

Oscar dela Hoya; used to Love the guy.. until I saw the worst acting performance of my life.. when he got KO'd by B-Hop... I mean watch it.. He is Screaming.. "I can't breath.. I cant breath" Now for anyone who has ever tried to yell when they can't breath.. will know that DLH was full of ****.. ANd that he was as corrupt as the next guy.. and possibly even worse..

            Hate To Like:
I used to hate Juan Diaz. I hated his baby fat, his lack of power, and his annoying yelps. I always acknowledged his skill though. After Katsidis, I started to really like him though. It was the best he's ever looked against a top contender IMO. His jab was beautiful. Now I am a fan.

Mayweather: I loved him at first, but started to dislike him around the time of the Gatti fight. It was such a mismatch and I hated the persona he created. Now I understand that he tried to be the hero for years, but it didn't pay, so he had to become the bad guy. His fight with Hatton was one of my favorites in years. He is a true master.

Arreola: It pissed me off that this dude with the golden ticket (HBO and Al Haymon backing and an undefeated record in a lackluster division) would not do roadwork. He is a good fighter with a tough, pressure style and hard punches, but he needs to put in the effort in his conditioning training if he wants to beat a klitschko. that being said, i like the guy whenever he opens his mouth. he is exciting. i really enjoyed his respectful comments of toney in his interview on versus. now i like arreola. (I still wish he trained harder though)

Tarver: I hated him so much after beating Roy. After Bernard easily whooped his ass though, I felt a little bad for him. Then, against powder puffs Santiago and Muriqi (which it can be argued he lost) I hated him again for talking sh^t and fighting bums, and looking bad in the process. I somehow started cheering for him before the Woods fight again though. Then, I found myself cheering for him against Dawson, but he can't not hang with the best in the division anymore....

            Like To Hate:
Jeff Lacy: Never liked him. He was overhyped, but decent and stepped up too soon. He was always sluggish and one dimensional. Now he is completely shot. I don't even think he can throw left hooks anymore at all.

Rocky Juarez: Too many shots, without success. How does this guy still get title shots? He bored me to tears against JMM (Though it was fun watching him get his ass kicked) and in Barrera II where he did nothing. Soto beat him, yet somehow rocky gets the shot. He was losing to Barrios, but Barrios knew he couldnt win with corrupt houston judging, so he punched himself out and stood in front of rocky with his hands down and his mouth open. im glad he at least showed SOMETHING in that performance though! I could live without watching him fight again though.
