    Draw rounds in championship fights

    I got a question.

Are there draw rounds in championship fights (IBF, WBA)? Can the round be scored 10-10? Or 10 point must system must declare a winner of a round?

    regards

A round can be scored a draw.

But if you do score it a draw, you're basically admitting that you don't know how to judge a fight. Every round has a winner even if it's only by a couple jabs.

I'm not sure about all that. However, it is true that general judging guidelines do discourage scoring a round a draw

the IBF BOUT RULES state that there is a 10 point must system - but there can be a draw

IBF CHAMPIONSHIP RULES don't say nothing about draw rounds - only 10 point must system, nothing about a draw round

and I think that in championship fight (Cunningham v Adamek recently) championship rules are over bout rules

I'm wondering, cuz 4th round od Cunn v Adamek was controversial to judge. Cunningham dominated the round, but was sent to the canvas in the last seconds. Refs gave it 10-9 to Adamek. are there any legal sources to score the round like that?

Yes... Dan Rafael (ESPN.com) I think addressed this very point in his chat last week.

Ryan (Richmond): Dan, if a guy gets battered for 2 minutes and 50 seconds in a round, but ends up knocking the other fellow down, is it a 10-8 round?

Dan Rafael: No. I had that scoring issue last night in the fourth round of Cunningham-Adamek. Cunningham beat the crap out of him severely to the point where it could have been a 10-8 for Cunningham without a knockdown but Adamek came back and dropped him in the final few seconds. Very hard round to score, but I went with 10-9 for Adamek.

Look at the video of Moorer-Holyfield I. Jerry Roth scored the second round, the round which Holyfield knocked Moorer down in, I might add, a 10-10 round, with the other judges giving the round 10-9 for Holyfield. When I score a fight I can find the occasional even round, but not when there's a knockdown in the friggin' round.
