Williams hasn't fought at 147 for a while, so they moved him up. I think he should stick around but he hasn't. Not to worry though, whent Tony moves to 154 Williams will have to be his target because Paul will have no problem unifying.

On the other hand Tony will give him a drawn out battle no matter what, everyone knows this, your reasoning just points to the conclusion that Floyd should not take a chance, but if you think Tony is easy work then it shouldn't even be a question over who he should fight. He loses status if he loses to Tony, but he gains credit for fighting the toughest guy out there, somehting he hasn't done since 135 that has held him back from becoming the best ever.
They have more confidence in his abilities than Floyd does.

I love it how easy you make it sound. When Margarito lost to Williams he was called a bum overrated and so on. The same thing will happen to Mayweather if he loses and will get zero credit. Beating Hatton at 140 is the better option than losing to anyone

William stated he will fight at 147 again and 4 million offer still stands

I'd rather see him fight Floyd. I'd actually rather see him fight Williams too, and he would get more credit for me for that. But Cotto-Margarito was no Mayweather-Hatton, and Margarito is not retiring any time soon, so the circumstances are different.

I know, but that's how the ring works, he needs to stay active at the weight, he should have just fought a guy at 147, but in the long run it doesn't turn out so bad, he can be king of 154 waiting for whoever comes up.
