It's the competition, not the title. He already beat Hatton, how is that a ****** point? If he fought Hatton again it would be for no other reason than a big pay day. Don't even argue it, it's not debatable. No one wants to see him knock Hatton out again, he proved he could, it's not necessary to see again.

Floyd/Pac? He knocks Pac out, he gets some credit for it. I just don't want to see him fight a guy he already beat. And Floyd having the ring title at 140 wouldn't mean **** anyway since he would probably never defend it.

The fact that your trying to defend this is laughable. I defintely don't think Mayweather has to fight Tony to get any credit...he gets a ton of credit from me for what he's already done. But to come out of such a long retirement to rematch a guy you just dominated? It's pointless.

        Neither.

How can you get credit for losing?

Roy was a valid comparison since he ended his career losing big fights and trying to make a positive out of it.

But to get back to topic: losing big fights and trying to make a positive out of it is for losers

Give it a rest. I think you're obsessed with Miguel Cotto or something. Do have a thing for him or something? Almost everytime I see you post it has something bad about Cotto in there. He lost, get over it. Believe it or not people do lose in this sport. I'm a Cotto fan and I don't talk about him as much as you, it's rediculous. Get a job, or someone else to mancrush on.

Yea, and to answer the question, he gets credit for neither.

He gets credit for stepping up to the plate against a credible threat, rather than jumping at the opportunity to fight a fighter who've already beaten.

its not like im giving him credit for losing... its the willingness to fight a real threat, that i give him credit for.. win or lose, he manned up and took on a challenge, and he gets credit for that... more credit than winning? of course not...

I dont even think Margarito can beat Floyd, I think floyd beats marg all day long... but regardless of that, he gets credit for willing to fight a threat, rather than just an obvious win-win money fight.. he barely gets credit beating hatton the first time... now the rematch? and at 140? i think floyd would be even better

Even funnier is, seeking a rematch with someone who you've beaten and KO'd. How does that even make sense?

Floyd: "I beat you, but i want a rematch" LMAO!
