Wy Floyd i think aint coming back until Cotto - Marg II

I guess if he comes back to boxing, hes not going to do it just for the money...hes got enough of it. If hes coming back its also for his legacy, and to silence all critics.

He knows if he comes back now just to fight Pacman, he risks a loss (thin chance, but real chance) and if he wins he just adds money to his bank, but critics would say again and again that he didnt answer his question at 147. If hes going to return to boxing and get what he wants he knows he has at least 2 fights to do: fight Pacman and Margarito.

If everything goes as it should, Pac wins against Hatton and Marg wins atgainst Mosley and Cotto again. Hes gonna be there to study em a bit more (see how Pac does against a more live opponent than Shot Hoya) and let em both be a little softened by their opponents (Mosley and Cotto are going to hit Margarito a lot, while he wins anyway).

Being he smart, he wants to make sure he comes back at the right time to make the less number of fights while getting the best both moneywise and legacywise from them.

    Thoughts?

Maybe what i wrote is what id like him to do but, i really think he is waiting for the right moment to make a comeback with a meaning, while guys at 140 and 147 fight each other raising 2 big names to meet...those would be Pac and Marg.

I think you make a reasoned argument... but you're wrong. Nothing Floyd has EVER done would suggest that he would take the winner of that fight. From a pure risk/reward standpoint... Floyd will take the Pac road which will give himself a fight against the p4p best. It would be hard for anyone to criticize him for that move. If he fights Cotto/Margarito maybe he solidifies his 147 reputation for hard core fans but he faces a real risk of losing...

if yo uknew anything about floyd you would know he believes his legacy is sealed, so theres no point in legacy fights... only money fights.

Maybe youre right, but i think after Margarito has faced and won Mosley and Cotto again, and with Paul Williams prolly estabilished at 154, Margarito is going to be THE Welterweight, and be recognized even outside the hardcore fans circle.

Floyd took risks before facing Castillo 2 times, bigger guy Corrales, Hoya at 154. Yes Margarito is a risk but i think Floyd knows he can beat him just being himself. Critics will always say he showed the greatest skills ever but his resume lacks this and that. Win on Pac p4pn1 and Margarito THE welter would be a big statement before retirement.

Yeh he says that...does he believe it? You think he doesnt know critics will always say he had tremendous skills but his legacy doesnt make him stay in the first 20 some would even say 50 HOFers?

Yeah but Mayweather's legacy is not in being the best WW of his generation but the best FIGHTER of his generation. That's why PacMan is THE ONLY real option.
