Hatton in a position of power

what a difference 24 hours makes...

Before this latest development, Filipino southpaw Pacquiao had looked to be in the position of power after becoming the most marketable fighter on the planet with victory in Las Vegas. But it now appears Hatton is the most wanted man and the Mancunian faces a real dilemma.

Win over Mayweather at 140 is better than a win over Pacman at 140. People will say Pacman is the smaller man if Hatton beats him and was moving up weight.

Until Mayweather or his team comes out and says something, I think this is a ploy from Hatton's team to gain leverage in negotiations for the fight with Pacquiao.

I don't think so. If so it would be a blatant lie rather than a 'ploy', and Floyd's people would just call them on it. I think it is a ploy, but on the part of the Mayweather camp not the Hatton camp. Sad as it is I think Ricky is piggy-in-the-middle, and that the fight that ends up being called will be PBF v. the Pacman. Hatton might get a shout at the winner, although IMHO if that happened he should tell them to go **** themselves and fight the winner of Bradley v. Holt instead.

I dunno, I think Hatton or his team just wants leverage against Top Rank and Pacquiao hoping Mayweather won't come out and say anything, right now Pacquiao is the one calling the shots, with this 'development', Hatton could gain a few things.

                You could be right though.

Mayweather Pacquiao is a massive fight... Hatton Pacquiao is a massive fight...

The only ones in a position of power is Pacquaio & Mayweather.

Hatton can't get mayweather until mayweather wants him, imo if mayweather came out of retirement officially Pacman would take the Mayweather fight over Hatton. So with that Hatton is in the least position of power.

ricky-floyd 2 wouldn't draw like it did the 1st time around.

floyd-pac and ricky-pac would draw more.

pac is the #1 p4p atm. floyd has been retired and ricky hasn't looked great most of his recent fights.

floyd rematch with ricky would only do great if ricky beats manny.

it's best for pac to take on ricky 1st before floyd because he wants both fights. losing one will kill the other. ricky is the easier of the two.

                    it's in everyone's interest for ricky/pac first.
