Humberto Soto/Francisco Lorenzo Rematch This Saturday

    this Saturday 20 December 2008

    Cozumel, Quintana Roo, Mexico
promoter: Fernando Beltran : Promociones Zanfer

    12super featherweightHumberto Soto45 (29) - 7 (1) - 2

    SCFrancisco Lorenzo33 (14) - 4 (0) - 0

~ vacant WBC super featherweight title ~
bout subject to commission approval / change

    a needed rematch
In their first fight Soto dropped Lorenzo twice, however after the second knockdown, Soto clipped Lorenzo after he took a knee. With blood streaming from his face, Lorenzo put on a performance that should of gotten him an oscar and
remained on the deck sobbing and whineing. The ref joe cortez was having senior moments all night and spent several minutes consulting with other officials before deciding to disqualify Soto.
i wasnt the only one calling for the WBC to test cortez for altheimers.

it was originally for the Interim WBC Super Featheweight Title, but after a lot of pressure from fans and boxing scribes the WBC chose not to award Lorenzo the title due to the controversial ending of the fight.aught to be plenty of action.
soto will annialate smart ass lorenzo

Hopefully, Soto doesn't go back to his dirty ass fighting ways. Might as well have kicked him in the balls, fouling that blatantly.

This is so ******ed, this is like if they dq'd Margarito for accidently hitting Cotto when Cotto took a knee... This fight is ******ed and Sotto was destroying Lorenzo before he accidentally hit him when he was going down.

Soto does not need to rematch Lorenzo. He should target the other jr. lighweights.

I don't know why but when I saw the fight live I thought the Soto punch was the dirtiest punch I had ever seen. I guess I had just turned around and only seen Lorenzo on the ground and Soto hitting him late.

After watching the replay I realized that it was something that happens all the time and I never react that way.. Dunno why I did in that fight...
