    Competition or Money?

I want to know why it is that some fans want their favorite fighters to make money and dont care if they fight real competition. On the other hand we have some fans that want to throw their fighters to the lions by making them fight guys that really have an edge on them(size, weight, experience)even if it doesnt make money. Basically we have flip-flopping fans who say"My boxer is the best", but when it is suggested they fight someone who is a threat, they begin the excuse, "that fight makes no money". For example...Juan Manuel Lopez is said to have to fight Vasquez, or Marquez...Which in my opinion is the best. When he can easily make alot of money knocking out chumps on the way to a huger pay day with one or both of the best. Personally I feel like these guys make more money in a fight than I make in a year, for an hour or less. I feel they should entertain us and even if they make 1 million as opposed to 10 million they are still better off than me so give me the competition. Im sure they will be ok. I would have rather seen Margarito beat the crap out of Hoya than Pacman. What do you think? Paul Williams can get to whatever weight Pac goes ..but do we want to see this?
P.S. I know your not getting a cut of their money so why do you want them to have more even if it deprives you of a great boxing match?

    See that's what seperates a fan over a wannabe/nuthugger!...

I can argue for days on why NaS is lyrically on another level from Jay-Z but all Jay-Z's nuthuggers say is.."All NaS got is Illmatic"..and half them muthafuckas sayin that haven't even listened to illmatic!..ha!..or they'll say **** like.."NaS can barley go platinum!"..lmao!

Same thing with boxing..they get into their boxers wannabe ego..like Mayweather for instance and start calling true talent worthless cuz they can't bring in numbers.

I understand these guys fight for money..but for most Pride, Honor and Legacy is equivalent!!..

Those guys are both shallow and crap. I have several friends who would school them in terms of lyric writing.

          But anyway...

KRS is dope. Or was dope until he got Puff Daddy involved on one of his albums.

PS: Is your user name anything to do with Dondi the old school graf artist?

No, But I know who your talking about, While growing up in The Bronx many people would ask me if I was him, Dondi is my real name and it goes back to Dondi from the comic.
              Oh and Larry,
I understand the business side of boxing, I was just trying to ask ,Why do some fans feel that they must advocate for their favorite fighters the money side..They act as if they are getting a cut. They act like their the ones counting and spending the money....I know this, 95% of the fighters that are on this site and discussed are eating fine and if theyre broke like Tyson its his own fault. He has made more money than 1000 average people combined. I just want to see the great competitive fights. Im sure they will make enough, to drive a car better than mine or many cars, a house or many houses better than mine, clothes and ***elry better than mine, kids going to better schools, College taken care of for kids plus alot more.

Yes, but why should that be of our concern?

They don't want to see their fighter get beaten up.

                  Thats the bottom line.

It makes for a convenient excuse to avoid a fighter.
