Why is boxing all about the dollar!! what happend to fighters who wanted to make

History and fought with passion and were willing to take chances with out wanting 20, 30 million. Thats why boxing isnt what it once was in the 1910 to 1980's. Were just lucky there is film's, newspaper reports and books of legends like Jack Johnson, Sam Langford, Stanley Ketchel, Joe Gans, Joe Walcot, Archie Moore, Charley Burley, Henry Armstrong, Ray Robinson, Carlos Monzon, Ali, Fraizer and Holmes now they were fighters! But sadly possibly the best of the lot Harry Greb there is no footage! We need a throw back to take boxing by storm! some one who is cut from the same cloth as the fighters above, not like these fighters today mayweather and co, even margreatio sold out and was all about the dollar in the end.

I think im glad im alive in todays boxing world and seen the fighters i've seen.

Boxing always been about the money. Its called Prize fighting.

Read a book i read "only the ring was square" and see what the match maker tells you about boxers. Its all about the money cause the damn manager, gets a good chunk of the pie.

Margarito is the one boxing but his people around him are still making some heavy dough simply by picking him fights.

As Roach how much he got from training Pac probaly made close to one million.

Very, very true. Most of these men would not do what they do if they weren't getting payed for it. The kind of brutality you go through in the ring can only be justified by a big fatass wad of cash.

'Sugar' Ray Robinson the greatests fighter of them all admited he fought for money and never really liked boxing. In fact, after he killed a man in the ring he said he hated what he was good at.

You can't. But you can provide a very long list of great champions who ended up without any regardless of how much 'history' they made.
