No, if an actor who does cheesy B movie actions flicks who had SOME amatuer boxing experience decides to get into boxing professionally and is given a shot at the title with only 2 fights under his belt because of his "popularity" and beats a shot and weak champion, then you can call him a ****in joke because that would be the equivalent.
UFC this is YOUR Champion!!! ahahaha

1. Is there really a legitamate pro wrestling league anywhere(Not Sports entertainment)???? Being an NCAA wrestling champion is the closest thing you are going to get to massive MMA amature experience.
2. Lesner is far from popular and most MMA fans hate the prick but the HW division in the UFC is like the WBO championship belt anyway. The real HW champion is Fedor Emelianiko which UFC wants no part of.Comment

Also don't laugh at Lesners one loss either. He was dominating a two time UFC champion (Frank Mir) and just made a rookie mistake and got submitted by very experienced vet. He was winning the fight hands down so he is a b+ fighter even thought he has only 3 fights under his belt.Comment

Who gives a damn if pro boxers would lose to MMA fighters in a street fight. It doesn't make MMA more entertaining than boxing.Comment

If I had to pick between a boxing snooze fest and an MMA ground game fest, I'd pick...neither.
But great boxing match-ups like the Vazquez/Marquez, Ward/Gatti trilogies, etc., can't be touched by anything MMA has to offer.Comment
