Wow, ESPN actually cares about Vitali vs. Haye

they actually announced the fight was signed on that little bottom announcement thing. and whats more, they did it more than once.

thats kind of rare for ESPN.

not that surprising though. Haye vs. Vitali is probebly the most interesting matchup to be signed since...I dont know. Vitali vs. Lewis?

Haye has only been on US tv one time. I was kind of surprised to see it also.

It must have been a mistake. I remember being surprised for seeing Pavlik's win over Lockett in the ticker. I was waiting for Williams win over Quintana to appear but it never came, haha

well it is the first interesting heavyweight fight in years so I'm not too surprised. I think this fight will get a lot of hype. Unfortunately it's Haye vs the wrong klitschko, imo.

I was shocked to see Wlad-Rahman highlights on Sportscenter.

actually, this is the right Klitschko. Vitali is probebly more well known than Wlad because of the Lewis fight, and the fact that Vitali is fighting another British heavyweight seems appropriate.

besides, if theres anyone that Haye resembles that Vitali fought its probebly Corrie Sanders(mostly because of the speed+power). that was a pretty good fight, and the fact that Vitali is older, Haye is faster and Haye has a worse chin than Sanders promises a lot.

I like Wlad, but he would be jumping at everything that Haye does. thats just how he is. Vitali tends to just lean out of the way and hope for the best. in other words, hes more likely to get hit by someone with the speed and leaping shots of Haye.

Yep, wrong guy. Haye has a much better shot at beating Wladdy than Vitali.

Thing is this might actually wind up being a bigger fight than Wlad - Haye would have been. Why? Because I think Vitali actually has a little more fame than Wlad does mostly in part to the brawl he had with Lewis. Wlad even says that people often confuse him for his older brother. Funny how that works out seeing as Wlad is considered to be the #1 heavyweight at the time not his brother.

Yeah most people that don't follow boxing most likely didn't know Vitali retired, since Wlad got the belts right after they think its the same Klitschko.
I think Vitali's mobility will be very big factor too we didn't see him move around at all in the Peter's fight. I think Wlad would be more suited for that kind of fight.
