    Cant believe Vernon Forrest!

What the hell is up with Vernon Forrest? He constantly turns down fights saying hes entitled to a SUPER fight. How in the hell does he figure hes entitled to a SUPER fight? Hes not a SUPERSTAR! He beat Shane Mosley twice and in return was beaten by Mayorga twice, not to mention Sergio Mora. He was waiting for a potential fight with Kelly Pavlik (and rightfully so) that eventually fell through and just isnt going to happen. So now what? He turned downed a unification fight with then IBF Champ Verno Phillips for crying out loud! Hes gone on record and said he will not fight Paul Williams or any southpaw for that matter. How real is that? Thats pathetic. He needs to wake up and get a reality check.

Vernon is nearly done. He wants a big pay packet to finish up with but as you say he doesn't really have the pulling power to justify it. It isn't uncommon.

I said it in the other thread but he should be fighting Winky Wright instead of PW. I'm not sure what his other options are but they look to be running out. Maybe Abraham-Forrest that is only one I can think still possible.

If Mayorga beats Angulo, then maybe he could get his ass kicked by El Matador for the 3rd time and retire. That'd be good. Vernon would get his payday and Ricardo would get his fourth world title.

Otherwise I agree with egreezy, a Winky fight wouldn't be bad.

I wouldnt mind seeing a Winky Wright-Vernon Forrest fight. That would be quite interesting. I dont think Winky can get that low that fast. 160 is probably the lowest he can get for the time being.

Thats exactly what Im talking about. He should have jumped at that unification against Phillips. If he would have won he would have had two belts to bring to the negotiation table.. Maybe he didnt think he could beat Phillips. I dont know. He needs to get in where he fits in and right now thats anywhere.

Vernon got beat by a sorry dude named Mora, beat Mora in the rematch but so what, Forrest isnt a hot commodity anymore, he's at the end of his career and trying to cash out...thats it.
