Most of the people here who criticize Wlad just do it as a psychological defense, kinda like they used to with the boy in your avy. They know he is good, but they have to come up with more reasons to discredit him to either feel secured about themselves or the fighter they are supporting.

But deep inside they know it, and eats them.

Watch how they are not criticizing him for how bad he is, but for how good he is.

See, and both guys are in a similar position where they are so good in their given environement, people use it to discredit them.

Just like how others will say that Joe Calzaghe or Floyd Mayweather are overrated, etc. It happens to every fighter, no one is going to be loved completely.

I don't like Wlad because of his style. But that's just me. When he eventually goes up against a decent heavyweight who isn't a punchbag maybe he'll put on a more entertaining fight.

It depends on how you rate them, first of all.

Second, it depends on who you beat. Nowadays everyone wants to throw out a record like it means something. It's WHO YOU BEAT. Period. Albert Sosnowski has a pretty impressive record too but who the heck has he beaten?

However, I can encourage you that this sort of criticism is a sign of greatness much more then any praise.

The reason people are so critical of Wlad is because he is just un-watchable. He has no intention of putting on a good show for his fans. He just goes and uses his freak size and reach and bores his way to a decision or in some cases is able to get a KO against trash opponents like Rahman. He'll never get the love that a prime Holyfield or even a Lewis got.
