    My Live Tszyu-Mitchell fight experience

Well it's Monday morning and I just wanted to tell my story of the incredible experience I had on Saturday.

I'm a huge huge fight fan, but Staurday was my first opportunity to see a world championship fight live. When I heard they were fighting here, I jumped online and scooped (4) $220 first row seats. Unfortunately, due to my unorganized friends we arrive late with about 3 rounds remaining in the last undercard bout. Our seats are amazing.....about 15 feet from one of the neutral corners. We sit down, but at the end of our row...right next to one of our seats is the Showtime cameraman. He says "hey man I need room you guys are gonna have to scoot down and let me use this chair". We are like dude we paid $220 for these seats...what do you want use to do. He says "wait a second I'll hook you guys up". He tells one of the ushers and they move us up about 10 more feet......TO RINGSIDE FIRST ROW. I could literally reach out and touch Alberts and Burnstein when they were doing the prefight talk. The people sitting BEHIND US were from the Kostya Tszyu camp and being a huge KT fan we were talking about what to expect etc. I was like a kid in a candy store. One row BEHIND me and a few feet down was Chuck Zito. So the fight starts and it's just amazing to see that skill level up close and personal. As soon as KT landed that first hard straight right I knew it was gonna be an early night. I was directly behind them we the fight was called and I was waving my arms frantically and giving the "cut throat" sign to signal "IT'S OVER". We went crazy and were giving the Tszyu camp people high fives. We hung around for a good 15 minutes afterwards and I got give Kostya a high five when he came to that side of the ring. When he hit my hand...it felt like a rock! We didn't stick around for the 4 rounder afterwards, but the experience for the 6 whole rounds of boxing I was actually there for was amazing. I can't wait to see some clips....cause some friends at home said they could see me and my boys all over the camera. As a matter of fact, twice when Mitchell went down the camera man had the camera directly on me (from a crouched angle...getting my reaction). I don't know if they cut to that camera, but I was wearing a brown and lime green plaid button up. Anyway, Kostya looks great and his camp is real excited. They told me he is looking at either Mayweather or Gatti if the money is right. Showtime would probably ink him to another monster 4 fight deal. One thing I didn't know was that Kostya had shoulder surgery on his left shoulder and his people told me that for the first time in several years, Kostya says he has full range of motion with his left arm. The guy is a beast and he has the heaviest hands at 140lbs in the world.

What an awesome night, thanks for letting me share my story.

It sounds like you had a great time, I love being at the fights - it's the only way to get a feel for the power of a fighter, without getting punched yourself!!

I live in England, but it is my aim to go to a big fight in Las Vegas, or Madison Square Garden.

We were just to the left of Burnstein and Alberts during their prefight shpeel. It was me and three of my friends (four of us), two black dudes and two white. I had a greenish plaid long sleeve button up on. We were sitting in the neutral corner to the right of Tszyu's corner. I was sitting in front of and to the right of Chuck Zito. I don't remember anybody flexin and we didn't have any papers in our hands, but I was acting a fool every time KT knocked his ass down.

                That is awesome.
I have seen him fight 4 times - Pedro Sanchez (back in 94), Mayweather in 95, Corey Johnson (in 96 I think) and Leija. Sanchez was amazing - it was nearly sickening.
