where did you hear that rumor? what happened in the first fight that begs for this rematch?

JKGaucho (DC): Why would HBO be interested in Dawson vs. Tarver II? First wasn't a great fight and did terrible business. Tarver will only be older. A wasted date if that fight is made.

SportsNation Dan Rafael: They're not interested in it to my knowledge.
Then it depends on who you believe.

And he mentioned it again here.

HBO has been turning down more fights recently, I think they are now playing hardball with the promoters that's why next year is looking so good. I don't see how they will be able to justify paying for Dawson vs Tarver 2, like I said it makes zero sense.

The fight doesn't make sense but some fights don't, the fight would be better than something like Pavlik-Lockett, as I said, maybe they'll try to push Calzaghe-Dawson, although it would be great if they would push for Calzaghe-Dawson with Kessler-Dawson.

Considering how much time Froch has spent talking about JT, he would look very bad if he ended up turning Taylor down in order to fight someone else.

I'm not so sure Kessler is going to be Froch's next fight. He's desperate for a fight with Taylor, that it's in Arum's hand to take it. If Taylor avoids the fight again, then that would leave Karo Murat as Froch's mandatory.

Froch has stated that Taylor and Kessler are the top men besides him in the division, so he would want either, but there is no news from Hennesey (Froch's promoter), that Palle has shown any interest, so if it was to happen it would be in the fall of 2009.

Also, Winky has been so inactive that Kessler would probably knock him out. Winky needs a tune up before going into the fight, which would leave Kessler's mandatory as Perdoma? Yes, i've never heard of him too.
