At least if it's for the WBC belt Haye has something to aim for. I personally think they should allow it, Haye is ranked #5 by the WBC it's not like he's unranked or miles from the top.

The people infront of him are:
          1. Juan Carlos Gomez - Doesn't sound like he wants the fight yet, otherwise he would be complaining about Haye taking his spot.
          2. Chris Arreola - Hasn't fought anyone of note, would be a complete ownage. Probably more likely to face Wlad anyways.
          3. Alexander Dimitrenko - Good fighter but has shown no interest in fighting for any titles yet.
          4. Samuel Peter - Just got completely owned and embaressed by Vitali.

The Belts are nonsense anyway and part of the reason boxing is in this mess. As soon as all fighters realize this, we can get back to the start of the sport and then create ONE Clean Belt that doesn't take money away from the fighters. Of course you need rules with that One belts since you had fighters like Dempsey taking off 3 years with the belt, which is why having lots of belts wasn't such a bad idea...but two wrongs don't make a right.

If people want a belt, remember, this is boxing, they can just buy-out some organization and they will give them one. It may be like the WBS public league belt or some obscure belt, but WTF, fans that need to see this crap are fools anyway. It's all about Pride and who is fighting. There was never any belts in street-fights and people come running to watch.

That WBC doesnt mean anything when Wlad is considered the man at heavyweight.

Same age Lewis was when he beat Vitali btw, i think he can still do it at 37 if he conditions right. But his reflexes will be crucial for him. Haye is fast be he's not very hard to hit as well. If Vitali has a good jab he can KO Haye with a hook easily. But i still go with Haye over him because Haye wants this BADLY. The willpower will be stronger in Haye's side. He knows he's the HW's hope for a better division, he has a once in a lifetime chance to emulate Hollyfield and after De la Hoya - Pacquiao i just won't dare to bet on a prediction.
If Haye fought more conventionally, using his jab (i know he has one) vs Barnett i would make a prediction now. In short it's pretty safe to say that if Haye fights like he did vs Barnett trying to KO him in the first round with one punch, he will lose badly, UD or KO. However if he keeps his cools and wait for openings using the jab and moving sideways, in and out, Vitali has no chance.

Good point. Although i would prefer one true belt, no belts is definitely better than many belts!

I think you should have kept that to yourself. You just ensured him getting knocked out silly by Vitali if they meet.
