Any elite fighters post here?

My gut reaction here is that this sounds nothing like Briggs. It sounds your standard and crude boxingscene.com tool(not insulting the site, but any major forum has its share). I've heard Briggs do commentary for ESPN FNF and he came off as a fairly intelligent and respectful observer. He never went out of his way to insult or demean defensive fighters, or any fighter for that mater. This despite the fact that he was commenting on cards featuring fringe contenders, journeymen, and club fighters.
Yeah, maybe he strives to be more classy on tv given the relative anonymity of the internet. Still, I don't buy it; I can't fathom he would be so dramatically different on the forums.
And of course, anyone can claim whatever e-mail addy they wish; doesn't mean it belongs to them.Comment

Ofcourse someone could easily fabricate those posts, but I'd have to expect Briggs would be his classiest and most professional self when commentating. Take for example, Roy Jones Jr. is obviously ****y as **** (that's not suppose to be a burn, I for one have found it to be entertaining), but when he calls fights on HBO he is always classy.I've heard Briggs do commentary for ESPN FNF and he came off as a fairly intelligent and respectful observer. Yup. Pretty much.
Of course, you are completely right. Like I said, there's no way to guarantee those are genuine comments posted by Briggs (I sincerely hope they are not) but of all the people to pretend to be, why Briggs?!! It doesn't make sense. But anyway, there ya go.My gut reaction here is that this sounds nothing like Briggs. So he says white HW champions are the demise of boxing yet says Povetkin is possibly the next best thing? Here's some comments I found today, apparently posted by Shannon Briggs (and the email address supplied along with the comments is Shannon's real email address). I can't guarantee they are genuine, but I have no real reason to think they are not, and people were replying to him. These were from the comments section of an article posted at ESB. The article was about last night's Klitschko-Rahman fight. Make of 'em what you will.
What a contradiction.
Whoever wrote that is not only a complete scumbag but an idiot too.Comment
