Adamek wasn’t even a major cruiserweight until his fight against Bell which was after Haye had announced his move up to heavy so why the hell would Haye fight him, Mormeck was the true cruiserweight king he held the ring belt and the WBC and WBA belts so in most peoples eyes was considered the undisputed champ Cunningham and Enzo where paper champs, ok his only major win at heavyweight is against Barrett but anyone that thinks his record at cruiserweight is rubbish is just a complete idiot, i understand a joke thread about this sort of thing but your serious. I cant image what you would do if Haye actually beat one of the Klits. Lets take a look at his major cruiserweight wins.He beat 2 weak cruiserweight title holders....Old, shot Frenchy Mormeck and Mediocre Macca.
Haye never fought the best fighters at cruiserweight.
Adamek, Cunningham, Alexeev, Jones >>> Mormeck and Macca
Who the hell has he beat at heavyweight??
C'mon tell me....I need a laugh
KO win over Jean Marc Mormeck 2 times world cruiserweight champ and Ring champ
KO win over Enzo Macca WBO champ
KO win over Fragomeni current WBC cruiserweight champ
Ko win over Alexander Gurov European champ and former title challengerComment

Mormeck was a little bit past his best but was still a very good fighter at that point. He was rolling with Hayes punches and was showing a great defence plus was landing some very good body punches.I like haye's fighting style but lets be real here. when a 36 yr old past it mormeck and ordinary enzo hold titles it doesnt take a world beater to become champion. haye is a good puncher though and fun to watch but I just cant see him getting by wlads jab or vits awckwardness and physical strengthComment

Of course he does. The point, though, is that it seems to have worked.
Has the thought occurred to you that everything there, with the exception of the chin, are actually highly beneficial characteristics to a boxing promoter, which Haye also is? Whatever the result of the fight, it will be an oustanding calling card for Hayemaker Promotions. If Haye can get the fights for himself despite having done 'jack ****' in the division, there will be an awful lot of fighters wondering what Haye might just do for them.
My own (wild) prediction is that within five years Hayemaker will both dominate European promotions, and be closely allied to Golden Boy doing much the same in the States. And that 'loud-mouthed' Haye will have nearly as much money as Oscar while those 'more deserving' fighters are tending bar and flipping burgers. And of course if he actually manages to beat Vitali...Last edited by The_Visitation; 12-15-2008, 05:09 AM.Comment
