Nacho has recently been accused of over-training Oscar De La Hoya in preparations for the Manny fight. Even being blamed for Oscar losing the fight. I don't think it was a matter of Oscar over-training, rather a matter of Oscar being over-confident in leading up to this fight.
You'll notice one main difference in Oscar's character during the 24x7 shows leading up to the Mayweather and Pacquiao fights. For the Mayweather fight, Oscar seemed on edge and worried. He was worried about the fight. It helped him to be better prepared. In leading up to the Manny fight, all you could see were his damn teeth, cuz he was smiling so much. He looked like he didn't have a worry in the world. Oscar just knew he would get in there, touch Manny with that left hand and take over whenever he wanted to.
He was wrong. He never thought Manny would present such a problem. And when **** got rough in there, he didn't know what to do. He was over-confident and under-prepared, not over-trained.
