Tyson was a beast, but he'd have trouble with Wlad's height and jab.

100% Tyson in his prime would have weaved in and crushed Wlad for sure. It would have been easy.

No disrespect brother, but that's a seriously ****** comment when you consider all the factors. Most importantly, mentally, Mike wasn't there. He had a set of complete jokers in his corner who didn't even have anything to treat cuts or swelling. I shouldn't need to go into everything else, because if you were around at that time you would know all about Tyson's marriage problems, etc. Mike was mentally beaten even before he stepped into the ring. Coupled with the fact that he didn't train properly, had fired Rooney, and of course completely underestimated Douglas, he had it coming.

On the other hand, Douglas was mentally in another zone. He lost his mother shortly before the fight and he had nothing more to lose. When you lose your mother, Mike Tyson doesn't intimidate you. Losing your mother is a far bigger deal than getting knocked out in a fight.

All things considered, the writing was on the wall for Mike. It's easy to say "Tyson would beat Douglas?" and post a funny face, but there are a lot, and I mean a lot, of things you need to consider as to why he lost. Douglas probably wouldn't have lasted more than a few rounds with the Tyson from a year or two earlier.

In boxing, mental strength is half of it. Mike, at this point, didn't have it.

As for you saying "quit living in the past", no. **** you. Boxing History is important to me.

Then is it fair to say, considering environment...that if Wlad/Lennix/Vitali, all grew up n Tysons' environment, that they may be just as bad of killers in the ring??

I'm not saying Wlad would win. But his height, would give him some trouble.

No. It's not in their genetics.

Although the Tyson-Berbick fight didn't even last two rounds, the whole fight was pure excitement start to finish (and that's not even watching live). That's what the division lacks these days- Excitement. I'm a fan of (Wlad) Klitschko but the only time you get excited is when he gets the KO and sometimes, like last night, it isn't even that exciting. Last time I really got excited watching him fight was when he decimated Chris Byrd a couple years ago...

Excitement is the X factor and why the division has been so boring lately and that's why so many fans are embracing David Haye...
