I don't think Floyd will be as inept against a southpaw as Oscar was. Lets face it Oscar was clueless on how to fight a southpaw. He never once circled to his left. Pac stayed outside his left foot the entire time. You cant win against a southpaw if you let him circle you. It was pathetic. At times I wonder if some trainers even know how to fight southpaws because Beristain sure as hell wasn't giving him the right advice in his corner.

If floyd fiths Pac with the correct footwork to get angle on Pac he should win. If he ignores the fact that Pac is a southpaw like Oscar did he will get destroyed.

That is also a reason, I'll state that I think floyd will stay retired to protect his 0 of his. Let him prove me wrong for coming out of retirement. I'm also not sure if Pacquiao should chase after Floyd like other fighters have, he should get floyd to start the exchanges so he can counter punch floyd.
floyd is the smartest fighter to have ever stepped into the ring..not the ebst, but the smartest, definitely

he will not fall for an elementary trap like that and be counterpunched

floyds lateral movement is among the best i have ever seen, pacs is good but not as good as floyds.....floyd wont miss manny lol manny is improving skillwise and has matured into quite a neat little boxer but not on floyds level skillwise, floyds accuracy, timing and speed is brilliant and he will tag pacquiao with little trouble

oh and as for floyd getting frustrated......like i said floyd is a smart, smart fighter....he wont be frustrated if pac pulls something new out of the bag.. he will take it apart methodically and nullify it

pac cant beat floyd, it aint gonna happen

Are you seriously implying that pacs straight left hand is faster than floyds lead right hand? at 140 floyd jr was a monster, just like 130/135, but 140 was really where i think he could have done real damage if that division wasnt a pathetic mess for so long.

Floyd better not over think it. Beating a southpaw isnt that complicated. Circle left get your lead foot outside of thiers. Fighting a southpaw isn't about punch selection and amazing combinations its about footwork which Floyd has in spades but it isn't complicated footwork. You can be too cute. Beating a southpaw isn't about being flashy its about using the technique that works which is simple and boring.

Get in the ring buddy if it's so easy to beat a professional fighter, Manny and Floyd probably KO everyone who posted on this topic no matter how big and fat you are or any of the other posters who posted on this topic.

Did I say it was easy?

I said it was it wasn't complicated. Lombardi's packers ran a rather uncomplicated offense. That doesn't mean it was easy to beat. FYI I am a southpaw. You fight a southpaw like a south paw. And fighting southpaw is a simple uncomplicated style based on footwork. Keep my right foot outside of your left foot and its my left hand vs your left hand. Simple as that. Achieving it is much harder especially when the fighter knows what you are doing and is working to stop it.

Watching Judah-Mayweather I'm not surprised that roach sees weakness in Mayweather. It wasn't until Judah stopped moving that Mayweather got the better of him. Mayweather never made any attempt in the early rounds to keep himself moving around Juda's right. Its only becasue that Judah stopped circling that Mayweather got the better. Pac never stops.

When I watch an orthodox fighting a southpaw the first thing I look for is their lead foot. I wasn't impressed when Floyd fought Judah. But I also wasn't impressed with Judah either. Pac is a phenomenal southpaw. He knows how to fight the style better than anyone. If Floyd tries to fight Pac like he fought Judah he is in trouble.
