    why or why not?
the demand for pbf/pac is greater than the demand for cotto/pbf... mainly because pac has fought in much more memorable fights including the dlh fight.

if only cotto didn't lose to money marg he'd have gotten the dlh fight.

After Manny P beats Hatton, their will great buzz surrounding Manny. They will all believe that he can KO. This fight is biggest fight in a while. Everyone will jupmp on the Manny P ****wagon against Mayweather. The fight happens Mayweather stops Manny in 5 round, people jump off the bandwagon and start to discredit Mayweather will over again

        i believe it'll be bigger

Cotto was (and still is) a very good fighter who might be able to handle Floyd's defense (although i have serious doubts about him being able to handle Floyd's offense)

Pacquaio is an ATG who could very well give Floyd a lot of problems on paper (southpaw stance, fast hand speed, excellent footwork, respectable power)

I think Pac should go ahead and fight Ricky and win, then Floyd vs. Pac about this time next year is 's

Before Cotto lost to Marg everyone was saying he would beat Mayweather. There was huge hype. But now Cotto has been beaten he has no chance.

Pacman is the only person who posesses the skills to beat Mayweather imo.

That creates more buzz than Cotto beating up Gomez and losing to Margarito

Rican Papi's might think otherwise though
                      I don't.

Though, now that I look at my vote, I would have to give it back. :S

The topic creator asked if the Pacman/MoneyMay fight would have bigger demand than Cotto/MoneyMay BEFORE Cotto lost to Margarito. In my opinion, if Cotto hadn't lost that zero and beat Margarito and probably (maybe) some other fighter at the end of 2008...then maybe we'd be looking for a VERY lucrative and hyped bout in 2009.

But since Cotto lost his zero (and took a beating in the process), we're all on stand-by waiting for Cotto to come back so we can see if (or HOW) he has been affected...

Regardless of how he is, right now I think EVERYONE can agree on the fact that Mayweather/Margarito or Mayweather/Pac-man are the fights that most want to see.
