I am a Hopkins fan, but there is no way I am convinced he "schooled" Joe Calzaghe. Take away the flash knockdown and you've got nothing but a disgraceful and dirty performance. He came to spoil the fight. Before it, he said "I will make Joe Calzaghe look amateur", and this he did, I'll give him that. Joe looked awful in that fight, but is it really any surprise?

In contrast, let's compare how Kelly Pavlik looked against Hopkins and then reconsider Joe's performance. Kelly Pavlik vs. Bernard Hopkins made Joe look like superman.

Nobody looks good against Hopkins. That's a fact. Due to the styles of Hopkins and Calzaghe, they could never look good fighting each other. They cancel each other out, and the overall effect bores audiences to sleep. It's no wonder Joe won't give 'nard a rematch, and I, for one, would never want to watch one, never mind pay to watch it.

By the way -- Calzaghe's rating are bad? Take a look at Hopkins. At least Joe can fill a UK stadium with 50,000+ fans. I'd like to see Bernard attempt to do anything remotely close to one quarter of that figure.
