What was Ali's I.Q.?
The Man couldn't even pass a Military Test.
However, Colin Hart {not a fan} I think it was, said he thought if Ali hadn't been a boxer and had grown up with a better education he would have been a Doctor, lawyer, Teacher, etc.
Ali I think just said he was lazy when it came to school.
Social Climate at the time doesn't help.
I've also heard people say "Talent" is transferable.
You see, guys like say, Michael Jordan were "Great" at what they did and if they would have spent that much time in the Library rather than in Gym, they could have gone on and done other things in other fields.
In order to box, believe it or not, you can't be an idiot. You have to be smart. Your brain must think extremely quickly. It just so happens, the brain has been forced to respond to fighting tactics because that's what this particular person trained for.
Hell, many people act like Tyson is ******, but many who have spoken to him behind the scenes, and I'm talking about well known authors and "people," have said Tyson is very smart. Of course there are always certain flaws in the mentality people like Tyson may have which makes it even more confusing, but, this goes hand in hand with many smart people in history.
Self-destruction may be a part of some Perfectionists and Intelligent people as well.
It's like some of the great Pianist or Painters that are "geniuses" at what they did, but make them do something else that they didn't devote their time to; I guess you would call them ******.
However, I do agree with one or two of the points raised by the thread starter. I agree with him about the 49 inch rim BS. I just can't tolerate that ****.
Regarding IQ, it's nothing to go by and a person should not be judged on it. There are many different types of intelligence; social intelligence, emotional intelligence, etc. There's just two examples.

This is not about race... This is about a state of mind. You can be poor and not be a hood rat. That is choice you make. 90% are actors anyway. Walk soft hit hard is my motto.Comment

Should I talk about Morales looking up at Pac and saying "no..." in the 3rd round?
Or Vasquez in the 4th?
Or DLH to a little fella sitting on his stool all alone?
We can debate quitting all day cause I know Camacho took his beatings..Tito took his... Cotto took his too...
You got more Mexicans on file saying "NOOOOO!" than you do Puerto Ricans.
Duran too.. Half Mexican began the proud Mexican tradition of Quitting. No mas.Comment

I think you need to keep handing out those flyers looking for a Mexican to beat Pacquaio. My man Cotto took a knee in an attempt to recover some wind, Chavez refused to get off his stool twice. Your legend is a *****.
