Paul Williams losing to Quintana did WONDERS for him.

IMO... I think P-Will learned ALOT losing that night.

I felt P-Will was underestimating and thinking Q would be a easy, effortless fight. He was wrong and paid for it. He learned to always prepare for everyone no matter who it is.

He basically got schooled by a slick southpaw. He learned to sit on his punches more and handle a southpaw with ease - ever since then i've think i've seen an improving and more determined Paul Williams.

He seems determined to fight the best and give it his all, something which has made me a recent fan of his. He's learning - he didn't fall back after his first career loss, mentally he's good.

I see big things for Paul in 2009 ..

    anyone esle agree ?

I agree. Losing might have been the best thing to happen to Williams. He seems like a much more complete fighter now instead of a one dimensional volume puncher.

Yeah definitely fights I want to see him in 2009-10 are Cotto, Margarito, Dzinziruk, Forrest, Spinks, Sturm, Pavlik, Abraham. That's a little optimistic but atleast half of those should happen.

wouldn't mind seeing that happen at 154

if Quintana snaps a belt at 154 and Williams get the true WBO belt, an unification would be perfect to get them together

He is a lot more patience now, against Phillips after the headbutt which impressed me the most he did not head hunt and went for the body. Quit surprising

He's done well since the loss. best thing is more commitment to his power punches. He still ain't a big ****er but he's more dangerous than before.
