  • Steve Cunningham Hungry For an Adamek Rematch

Former IBF cruiserweight champion Steve "USS" Cunningham's hometown of Philadelphia, PA is about 85 miles southwest of Newark, NJ. But given the partisan crowd in attendance to witness his second title defense against Tomasz Adamek, he might as well have been in Warsaw. [details]

I'm hungry for it too. Might take a while for those guys to heal up tho.

They need to do it again. It was a close fight and one of the best fights of 2008 IMO, so yeah let's do it again.

cunningham needs to lose alot of upper body muscle and put it in his legs. that will give him some more zip to his punches and he will be able to last 3mins per round instead of 1.

Adamek knocked Cunningham down how many times? If Adamek trains even harder, he might be able to stop Cunningham or KO him in the rematch. I didn't see the fight, so I can't tell if they were flash knockdowns like ones that didn't look like they did much to Cunningham...

Kind of like how Calzaghe got caught by ****** shots against roy and hopkins in the first round

He should'nt lose any upper body muscles....It's just the way he's built.

Dude be serious, Adamek trains harder and gets better but Cunningham with ring rust not having fought in a year fights the same next time?

Exactly, Oscar de la Hoya and Roy Jones lost muscle, it didn't help him any. Losing muscle is never a good idea.

if SC didn't keep his hands so low then he wouldn't had gotten KD alot during that time....

Main Events almost has Adamek's first defense of the true linear crown signed. I would be shocked if Flores/Adamek isn't on in APril on SHowtime and announced relatively soon. I'll keep you up to date.
