MMA Pat Miletitch wants Winky Wright in his next fight!

Im not really an MMA fan but in his first fight in two years Miletitch brutally KO's his opponent and when asked if he will continue says he wants Winky Wright or Antonio Tarver next from the boxing world. This is what boxing needs to create a buzz by crossing over and destroying an MMA icon like Miletitch in front of all of those young hardcore MMA fans. Exposure to youthfull crowds in impressive fashion is what will get boxing back on the board. Miletitch wants it somebody call Winky!

You know what your right, I think an MMA vs a Boxing guy would really do boxing good right now. Some may not like it but I think overally it'll be healthy.

The problem is if it's Boxing it favours the boxer and if it's MMA if favours the MMA guy even more. So neither side is going to agree to a fight easily, and whomever wins many will write it off as one of the guys wasn't really a boxer, or an MMA guy.

I think it'd be beast to have some kind of new joint rules, someone posted some recently which were interesting. Very tricky to do. But it's the only way I see all this talk of an MMA vs a Boxer being any less than a gimmick, not happening often or doing as much good as it could otherwise.

combining the rules would never work and make for a dull event. The only way it works is if its in one world or the other. So somebody has to step up and fight in the other world. The reason I think boxing is the way to go is simply that it is a major element in both sports. The match would likely be an exhibition type event but if done right could benefit both sports.

Really the point is is that boxing needs to appeal, especially in the US, to the younger generation. There are a lot of things that could be done but none of them are. Its a sad example of poor promotion
