    De La Hoya vs Pacman

A week has just past from the DLH vs Pac, it's probably old news by now. I'm a DLH and pacman fan. I honestly expected a great fight. I agree with some of you, to me DLH did not want to fight. I've been a fight fan for 30 years, which I don't understand, DLH trained real hard and he look real good but he did not do a thing, he had the height, strength, arm length and did not utilize them. He hires Nacho and Dundee (which are great trainers) and for what? When Marquez and Barrera fought MP for the second time, these fighters adjusted to pacman style and made it a better fight despite their losses. Didn't DLH camp watch video? What did they do?.
I understand styles are the difference in fights, but c'mon, you need to make adjustments real quick there's no tomorrow, especially if your getting pounded, the fight was terrible. Don't get me wrong, Manny is a great fighter and he earned it.
In one of Nachos comments, DLH was not following instructions, he mentioned that he was telling DLH to shift to MP left, wrong!!. By him getting tag with MP right jab, DLH was forced to move to MP left and BAM!!!! DLH was eating the straight left. I feel he should shift to MP right and use the jab more and bobb and weave, slip and duc MP right jab, counter with a right with a left hook to the body. I realize it's easier said than done but, at least give it a shot and make a fight out of it. DLH did not do anything, he was MP target practice. DLH had a better fight against Mayweather Jr., which I feel a fight with MP will be a a better fight. Or with MP vs Hatton at least with hatton they will be more action. Like I said I've been a DLH fan for a long time, I'm very grateful what he's done for the sport, he's smart business man and a great fighter. Being East Los Angeles born as well, DLH has done very well and admire all his accomplishments. I feel if DLH should retire, don't be ashamed, in my book DLH is a great champion. But, if he feels he still wants to fight, I hope he really feels he can do it and fight two more max. Physically I think he can still do it (a tad slower), now he needs to work on his mental aspect of the game.

True! He has always been a warrior but at the end of the day you have to know when to stop cause boxing is a dangerous sport. That's the problem with many fighters they just can't leave the game.

I seen the outcome coming in his fight last fight but i'll admit later on i didn't see Delhoyas coming, i know i mentioned that if he came in at 147 Delahoya would lose badly but 24/7 hid a lot of bad training sessions. I still think Byrd might be out gunned again.
