Why does no one care about cruiserweight?

Was Steve Cunningham vs Tomasz Adamek even mentioned on these forums? I haven't really thought about it much but I just realized that cruiserweight has NEVER been a popular weight class. Nobody cares about a cruiserweight boxer, usually forcing them to move up to heavyweight or down to light heavyweight.

Why has it always been like this?

Because it was invnted relatively a short time ago and they are just small HWs that get no respect cause it's considered a shame division.

If CW commanded any type of respect or money, Haye would've stayed and taken care of unfinished business like Cunningham.

Nobody talks about it because there isnt enough names there. If there were people to fight then many would be asking whats next for Adamek, but thats not the case.

the only thing next for adamek i think should be a rematch. it was a great fight to watch. i wish more regular tv fights would be like that.

There just ain't a lotta big fights at CW. Last one was ill, but they're few and far between.

They don't fight on HBO or Showtime much, Cunningham was fighting in Germany and the fights weren't shown in the states. Haye had his big fight against Mormeck in France finally fought against Maccarinelli on Showtime and Setanta I think, hopefully Hopkins fights Adamek to make a big fight in that division.

Only by defeating Cunningham can David Haye have a reasonable claim to be ducking Tomazs Adamek.

They'll care if Hopkins fights for the title.
